Club Boats

The club owns a number of boats which are mostly kept in Cadboro Bay.  These boats are used for teaching people how to sail, for racing, and by people who would just like to get out on the water and don't own a boat or would like to go out in something different.  More detailed information can be found by clicking here but a summary and some pictures follow below.

Boats that the club owns include:

Optimist Pram (8 boats) - These are small one to two child boats intended for novices that are learning how to sail.

Optimist Dinghies (12 boats) - Similar to the Opti Pram, the Opti Dinshies are used by sailors up to 15 year old for learning how to sail and racing.

Bytes (2 boats) - These one person boats are like a slightly scaled down Laser. The boats are kept at the Long Harbour outstation for use by people staying there.

Club 420 (12 boats) - Two person dinghies, half are rigged with a basic jib and main and the other half with spinnakers and trapezes. These boats are for learning, racing and just having fun.

29er (3 boats) -  High energy asymmetric spinnaker boats for use by Race Team members.

Club Martin 242 (2 boats) - 24 foot keel boats that can be used for racing or just sailing in the sunshine.

Mini 12 (12 boats) - These are miniature 12 meter keel boats used by one of the more active racing fleets in the club.  Join the fleet and join the fun.

Stand Up Paddle Boards (2 boards) - Try the latest fad on the water with one of the club's paddle boards.

Coach Boats and Support Vessels - There is also a fleet of power boats that are used to support the Learn to Sail Program and Racing Program.

Kayaks - There are four kayaks at the Long Harbour outstation and two kayaks at Cadboro Bay.
