AROUND THE BLACK SEA IN 65 DAYS
MARCH 28 AND 29, 2012
Amanda and Barry Glickman have been sailing together since 1997, when they started exploring Baja, Mexico and Vancouver Island together. From this experience they hatched a plan to escape to South America. In 2000 they aquired the 49" Trintella, Darwin's Passage, with which they spent the next seven years exploring the Caribbean, Panama, Galapagos, Easter Island, Southern Chile, Argentina, Tierra del Fuego, Cape Horn, South Shetland Islands and Faikland Islands.
In the summer of 2004 the left Darwin's Passage in the Chilean winter to join the lone Canadian vessel participating in the KAYRA 2004 Black Sea Rally.
The KAYRA is an international goodwill tour that unites vessels, both sail and power, from a variety of countries in an effort to spread international goodwill. In 2004, the group of 37 vessels, representing 11 countries, managed to visit all five countries bordering onthe Black Sea. This was their experience.....
