A Seminar with Marianne Scott - March 19, 2012, 7:30 pm
Using your ingenuity, some planning and a bit of work can make your yacht more convenient, enjoyable and manageable
No matter how big your boat, whether sail or power, organizing it, maximizing your storage space—while keeping you safe—is a challenge. This fun seminar will present tips on how to stow your stuff, increase safety, and keep your boat ready to go at a moment’s notice.
Make those lockers and cabinets work for you. Learn how you can store certain foods aboard so you don’t have to haul them back and forth from home to boat.
The presenter, Marianne Scott, learned how to organize her boats during off-shore voyages and long-term cruising. She will also share ideas she liberally stole from marine manufacturers and other boaters.
Topics will cover containers that can store stuff from oatmeal to screws; what foodstuffs can stay aboard without spoiling; vacuum packers; keeping bedding dry; gadgets to keep your boathook aboard; bulkheads to the rescue; handholds; tracking where your things are stored; and, the value of Velcro.
Seminar Fee: $10.00
